How many times have we heard, Knowledge is Power? Having knowledge is only powerful, if you use it. If you keep it to yourself, who cares? Who benefits? No one. Knowledge is only powerful if you use it to benefit yourself and others. It is the same in government.
America is a Representative Republic.
We elect representatives to go to the capital and tell others what we want and what we feel benefits us to keep us safe, secure, and to enhance our lives. If we don’t apply and share our knowledge, how do these representatives know what we want?
Our problem is we know what we want but representatives aren’t informed. We don't apply our knowledge.
Why we keep our needs a secret is beyond me.
Do we think that no one else has the same needs? Do we think that no one else cares about crime, potholes, high taxes, high prices, parental rights, etc.? Worse than that, do we think our representatives already know and are doing nothing, so why bother calling? How do you think a representative can represent you if you never tell them what you want and need?
America is in horrible shape.
Sometimes I feel that Americans are complacent and content to watch the country just fall apart. We know right from wrong and good from evil. But we do nothing because it’s easier. We allow ourselves to be led by lies even when we know they are lies.
“A man who stands for nothing will fall for anything.” – Origins unknown
The time has come for "We The People" to apply that knowledge and take back our power. The Florida legislature is about to pass some horrible bills and some good bills … but if we are silent, they will pass the horrible ones and Deep 6 the good ones. Only We can make sure that doesn't happen. How you ask? By you contacting your legislator and telling them what you want. This is the same in all states.

Join Former Representative Mike Hill in segment 1 of today's show, which is devoted to learning where bills come from and the steps for Bills to become laws. Our job is to learn and participate. It is our job. Although the focus is Florida, the procedure is basically the same in each state.
In segment 2, Ryan Kennedy, Florida Citizen's Alliance legislative liaison, discusses the education bills we need to get passed.
You can review the bills in the House by going to myfloridahouse.gov and the bills in the Senate at flsenate.gov . The bills in the House are odd numbers. The bills in the senate are even numbered.
Here are a few of the bills we discussed. The bills I find most troubling regarding land development all have a similar phrase "Prohibits the county"…
VOTE NO
HB665
Prohibits the county..., impact fees In Commerce Committee.
HB943
prohibits counties & municipalities, respectively, from restricting density of proposed multifamily… 4/11 first reading Commerce Committee
SB482
Local Gov't: Prohibiting a county from requiring an applicant to take certain actions as a condition of processing...4/2 Community affairs 1st reading.
SB1080
Local Government Land Regulation: prohibiting counties from limiting the number of quasi-judicial or public hearings held each month in certain circumstances; 1st reading Y18, N4 place on calendar for 2 reading.
SB1118
Land Use and Development Regulations: Prohibiting a county from requiring an applicant to take certain actions as a condition of processing a development permit or development order... 3/19 1st reading. Now in regulated industry
VOTE YES
HB491
Use of Artificial Intelligence to Detect Concealed Firearms
This bill prohibits the use of artificial intelligence (AI) by government agencies to detect concealed firearms in most public areas. If passed, it would make such use of AI a first-degree misdemeanor. Governor Ron DeSantis has called the use of AI for gun detection "nothing but a technological infringement upon both our 2nd and 4th Amendment rights."
HB955
Employment Eligibility Verification
This bill requires all private employers, regardless of size, to use the E-Verify system to confirm employment eligibility for new hires. Currently, only businesses with 25 or more employees are required to comply. HB 955 strengthens our labor market integrity by closing this loophole.
HB1505 and SB1288
Parental Rights: Education and healthcare. opt in surveys to gather info. Requires parental consent for minor's treatment for certain diseases; revises informed consent requirements; requires consent from parent or guardian for certain services provided by mobile response team;
HB1255
Education: Revises provisions relating to critical teacher shortage areas, Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children, Florida School for Competitive Academics, use of certain educational funds, emergency opioid antagonists, corporal punishment, background screening requirements for private schools, prekindergarten programs, students of military families, K-12 courses, instruction, standards, & benchmarks, New Worlds Tutoring Program, & educator certifications.
HB1539 and SB1692
Materials Harmful to Minors: Defines "harmful to minors"; revises list of materials used in classroom which are subject to objection process by parents or residents.
What's in your state?
Have you checked the bills in your state? In the state of Washington, their House and Senate voted to give total control of healthcare to the government once the governor declares a health emergency. In addition, they want a Tesla tax for??? Plus Washington State legislators don't care about its citizens. They just passed a law putting illegals at the head of the line when it comes to pardons. Is Washington state still part of America?
Nationwide:
A Federal judge decided that they must stop the horrible idea that a person should prove they are a citizen to vote. SCOTUS is deciding if Parents have the right to determine rights of parents when it comes to gender LGBTQ+ education.
FYI: All while this was going on, an amazing discovery was made. It seems the reason for ADD or ADHD is basically because a child is bored. How much longer must we continue to listen to their lies?
